Betsson Offering Research Money
Swedish online gambling firm Betsson has announced the launch a scholarship programme for research into the impact and consequences of problem gambling.
The firm stated that a panel of experts knowledgeable in the field of gambling would award $2,552 twice a year from a list of candidates pre-selected by their respective student faculty. Although it did not state who would constitute this jury, Betsson has used the services of Global Gaming Guidance Group from Amsterdam in the past for responsible gambling guidance.
Formerly known as Cherryforetagen AB, Betsson is a public company run through two subsidiaries, Betsson Limited and Betsson Malta Limited. Its main business includes the operation of online betting exchange Betsson.com alongside virtual casinos CasinoEuro.com and CherryCasino.com.
