More Gran Scala Delays

International Leisure Development (ILD), one of the firms behind the giant Gran Scala casino resort development in Spain, has announced that it has received a guarantee of $31 million in order to carry on with the realisation of the project.

According to Sebastien Tranchant, one of the heads for ILD, the money was received from a banking entity under guidelines set out by the autonomous government of Aragon where the development is to be constructed.

However, the promoters stated that the opening could be delayed for up to four months because they have only purchased 1,700 of the 2,000 total hectares necessary to complete the project. ILD stated that the land is costing between $9,000 and $14,000 per hectare, which is below that estimated when the project was first conceived.
