PokerStars have announced they will unveil a live poker room in Macau tomorrow. The new ‘PokerStars Macau’ poker room will host upto 250, and is to be situated inside the Grand Waldo Hotel and Casino in Cotai.
To celebrate the opening, the first ever tournament to be held there will be the No Limit Texas Holdem Charity Poker Tournament, which will raise funds for the relief work following from the recent earthquakes in China. The donations will be suggested $2,000 HKD, with a pool of $150,000 HKD up for grabs, including entries into the APPT in Macau in September.
The fundraiser will be the opening event in the Macau Cup, which will feature a $1,000 HKD buy-in deep-stack event, as well as a $10,000 buy-in Red Dragon event this weekend. By the end of the Macau Cup festival, the room will have in place a full schedule of tournament and ring games.
