A Las Vegas casino granted new high rollers suite
Las Vegas casino the Venetian welcomed news that a new private gaming salon could be opened on its site, after the State Gaming Control Board of Nevada announced the go-ahead yesterday.
The casino’s proposals were praised by the committee, who were impressed by an “aggressive, effective approach”, before voting unanimously to allow the suite. Private salons have attracted controversy because they allow gambling behind closed doors, but are deemed necessary to retain high money players.
The room, provisionally named the Paiza Club, will be located on the 36th floor of the resort, allowing enough space for a private gambler and three tables, plus several slot machines. Frederick Kraus, vice president of the Venetian, said they hoped to open the salon in March.
Las Vegas Sands Inc., who operate the Venetian and the recently opened Sands Macau, are also planning a second salon off the main casino that will be open to the public when not in private use.
