New Director for Gambling Supervision Commission
The Isle of Man's Gambling Supervision Commission, which licenses online gambling operators from around the world, has announced that Steve Brennan has been appointed as its first Director.
In his new role, Brennan will be responsible for licensing and regulating the jurisdiction’s online and terrestrial gambling activities including its casino, betting and lotteries along with amusement and slot machines.
Brennan previously served as a Business Solutions Manager for the Income Tax Division of the island’s Treasury and will now oversee a team of three Gambling Supervision inspectors and a senior secretary with over 50 years’ of collective experience in the licensing and regulation of gambling.
The Gambling Supervision Commission was established in 1962 and is committed to keeping its gambling industry free of crime along with protecting the young and vulnerable and ensuring that the facilities offered by licence holders are fair with players receiving their true winnings.
