Supertoto
Expekt.com, Unibet, and Globet.com, normally fierce competitors have joined
forces in order to challenge the betting monopolies of Europe. Together they
are now launching Supertoto, which will give European monopolies in Europe a
tough match for the customers. The competing betting companies have set up
the jointly owned company, Monnet Ltd, registered in Gibraltar.
The games offered so far by the private betting companies have mainly
focused on odds for various sports. But the three competitors have now
launched a so-called pool game where the total prize money is determined by
the sum of all stakes from the punters.
- The gaming monopolies of Europe has increasingly focused on games of
chance in recent years, such as gaming machines and casinos, whereas we have
had great success in games which are based on skill and knowledge. Therefore
we will continue our collaboration and develop more betting products, says
the competing betting companies in a joint statement.
Supertoto consists of 14 selected football matches whose results are
selected by the customer (home win, draw or away win). The matches are
played on Saturdays and Sundays, and will be selected from the best leagues
in Europe, like Premier League in Great Britain, Primera Division in Spain,
Series A in Italy and the Bundesliga in Germany, etc. There will be a focus
on matches involving famous teams and matches that are broadcasted on TV.
80% of the stakes will be reserved to the pool which is almost twice as much
as the monopolies normally provide. The stake is 0.1 Euro per line.
Customers can win on 14, 13 12 and 11 correct matches. The total prize money
depends on the pool of money, but a single winner on 14 correct matches is
guaranteed a prize of at least 100,000 Euro for at least the first 10 weeks.
Bets can be placed up to 15.00 on Saturdays.
Starting today, it is possible to play Supertoto on the gaming company's web
sites, where more information about the game is also available.

Another continental sportsbetting company is about to launch Supertoto as
well in the near future.
A European telephone conference will be arranged today at 16:00 CET, where
questions can be asked about the gaming companies and Supertoto.
Representatives from the gaming companies will be present at the telephone
conference.
