BetWWTS.com, the offshore gaming company behind WagerOnSports.com, BetP2P.com, BetCasino.com and BetAffiliate has announced that Tiger Woods as the early favorite to win the Masters championship at 4/1 odds (i.e., win $4 for every $1 bet) despite the golfer’s recent slump.
With the 2004 Masters kicking off this week, at the Augusta National Golf Club, most golfing enthusiasts believe that despite winning the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship plus another four top ten finishes the past 4 months, the world’s best golfer is yet to win a major championship since the 2002 U.S. Open.
BetWWTS.com is betting that that professional golfer maybe sliding down, but is not out.
Next on its favorite list is Ernie Els who is listed at 8/1 odds to win the tournament, followed by Vijay Singh (9/1), Phil Mickelson (10/1), Davis Love III (15/1) and reigning Masters Champion Mike Weir (18/1) all battling for the green jacket.
As a part of it’s golfing promotion, the operator is offering special golf bets on the tournament. Masters customers may bet on a number of props including: where Woods and Mickelson will finish, if there will be a playoff or hole in one, the lowest round score of the tournament and the margin of victory for the winner. Bettors may also wager on how many majors Woods will capture this year and if Phil Mickelson will finally capture his first major championship in 2004.
