Betfair online poker room is offering players the chance to win
“Passport Stamps” which can be converted into buy-ins for live
poker events anywhere in the world. Weekly satellites for the
stamps start from $5.50, and winners can go on to claim stamps
worth $3,000 for tournament buy-ins. Stamps can also be accumulated
for bigger events such as the WSOP, and can even be used to cover
the cost of getting to the tournament.
“This satellite structure puts our customers in the driving
seat,” said Betfair’s Head of Poker Ben Fried. “The Passports,
combined with the Threedom Pass, give our live event offering the
best value and flexibility in the industry.”
The weekly Passport Stamp satellites culminate in a final table
on Sundays at 21.45 GMT, and have a $150+$15 direct buy-in. At
least one Stamp is guaranteed every week, and each stamp is valid
for 18 months.
Any player making a significant live tournament final table will
qualify for The Threedom Pass, which offers free buy-in for three
years. The pass is transferable to comparable tournaments.
