Super Bowl streaker pleads innocent
The British man that infamously took to the grid-iron during this year’s Super Bowl intends to plead innocent to trespass at his court hearing in Houston. Mark Francis Roberts had stripped down to but a thong and a tattoo advertising an online casino GoldenPalace.com. Roberts claims that he is innocent to trespass because no one told him he couldn't do it.
There has been no denial that Roberts was the man that ran onto the pitch in a specially made referee’s kit and danced near-naked across the field of play.
Police have been queried by some regarding the speed of their reaction, and Roberts appeared to be running out of dance moves before they finally charged the field. New England Patriots linebacker Matt Chatham levelled Roberts, who was carried from the field by officers.
Although the footage was not shown during the game, it has been shown many times on later television broadcasts and from internet based platforms.
