Online Casino Announces New Tour Dates
Online casino PokerStars.com has announced that it will be reprising its popular Caribbean Adventure tournament, scheduled to take place at the Atlantis Resort and Casino in the Bahamas beginning January 4.
The Isle of Man-based site revealed that the event would form part of its European Poker Tour (EPT) despite officially being in the Americas. However, in order to make things easier for would-be travellers, PokerStars.com has launched EPTHotels.com offering hotel booking discounts and services.
Last January’s Caribbean Adventure attracted over 1,000 players and generated a prize pool of over $8.5 million, a feat almost certain to be repeated this time around.
PokerStars.com also announced an additional stop in Budapest, Hungary bringing the total number of EPT events to ten. The Hungarian competition will be a $6,530 buy-in, four-day no-limit Texas Hold’em battle for a maximum of 500 players at the city's Las Vegas Casino in the Sofitel Hotel from October 28 to November 1, 2008.
