Open TV, the interactive television company has announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Betting Corp UK and British Sky Broadcasting Limited (BSkyB), have signed a multi-year agreement which provides for the relaunch of Betting Corp's Play Monte Carlo betting and fixed-odds games portal on Sky Digital’s Interactive Main Menu (IMM).

The agreement also provides Betting Corp with additional bandwidth through Sky's digital satellite platform, which will enable it to offer an enhanced range of fixed-odds betting and gaming services and interactive functionality. Sky digital estimates that more than 7.2 million households (17 million viewers) in the UK and Ireland will have easier access to Play Monte Carlo through Channel 7 on Sky's IMM as well as through the Sky Active portal, and through Open TV's Play Jam channel (No. 3 on Sky's IMM).

The Play Monte Carlo portal provides access to fixed odds betting games, which are offered in compliance with all local laws and regulations within the United Kingdom. It offers a number of ‘soft’ fixed odds betting games such as slots, keno, dice and digitized horse racing. Users can play for fun at premium telephony rates or deposit funds and play for real money.

Play Jam and Betting Corp, both part of the Open TV family, will expect to engage in joint marketing and advertising efforts to leverage Play Jam's user base and Betting Corp's technology and betting products. Betting Corp services include the iTV service Play Monte Carlo, and the web services 4Gcasino.com and TotoPools.com.
