Games, Inc., a leading provider of online interactive entertainment, today announced the launch of Internet Instants, which will provide US state lotteries the opportunities to take the scratch card concept online. The idea is to improve customer accessibility to their state lotteries, and the company is currently seeking retail licenses in several states around the country.
Internet Instants will be purchased in stores and will allow customers to enjoy 'instant' games and animation that can be played at their convenience over the Internet. The new scheme will benefit state lotteries by reducing warehousing and transportation costs, while still allowing retailers to earn commissions from sales. Last year, the North American lottery industry had was worth $45 billion. Retailers earn an average of 6% on all sales.
Games, Inc. CEO Roger Ach stated, 'We embarked on creating a new platform that we believe will allow greater marketing flexibility for the Lottery industry and a more enjoyable play experience for the lottery customer.'
