SPARKS (Sport Aiding Medical Research for Kids) has teamed up with Getminted.com to create a celebrity online poker night which will take place on Tuesday, May 24 at 8 pm. Vinnie Jones and a host of celebrities are in preparation for the poker challenge which is being held in order to raise thousands of pounds for SPARKS charity.
Vinnie, the face of Getminted poker, has selected some celebrities from screen and sport, including some familiar soap opera faces, to join him going head to head with online gamers for a night of online poker and chat.
Getminted Poker will be the exciting night, with guest players including William Beck and Derek Martin and ex-footballers, Neil ‘Razor’ Ruddock and Alan Brazil.
Getminted poker expect a turnout of 400 online gamers to battle against Vinnie and the celebrities for prize money of £7,500, donated by Getminted, while raising target money of £20,000 for SPARKS charity. The target money raised for SPARKS will go to deliver medical research that has a positive, practical impact, giving every child the chance for a winning future.
“I’m well up for this,” Vinnie said. “I’m patron of SPARKS so I’m going all out to win. If anyone out there thinks they're tough enough to bluff me …. I’m waiting.”
