Casino Fortune, one of the oldest online casino in the world, has launched a bid to purchase the NHL franchise of the St. Louis Blues and their playing arena.
Executives from Casino Fortune will travel to St.Louis next week to meet team owners and executives to thrash out a deal. High on the agenda will be discussing a reasonable price for the purchase and the amount of debt that comes with the acquisition.
“We will buy this team and begin incorporating our brand into uniforms and the name of the arena,” said Casino Fortune President, Dennis Rose. “We are one of the few online casinos that don’t allow any wagers on sports events, and that is because our business model has always anticipated us buying a sports team in the U.S.”
The likely purchase of the Blues ends a year long search by Casino Fortune for a suitable professional sports team to own. They view the Maloof brothers’ acquisition of the Sacramento Kings as proof that a gambling operation can purchase and run a professional sports franchise.
