Sportsbook.com offers odds on Summer X Games XI
LOS ANGELES, CA, July 12 - The world's largest alternative sports competition, X Games XI, gets underway next month and Sportsbook.com is offering odds on two of the biggest events: Men's Skateboard Big Air and Moto X Step Up.
In the Men's Skateboard Big Air event, Danny Way is the overwhelming favorite with odds at 6-5. The 31-year-old daredevil's closest competition is Pierre-Luc Gagnon (7-2) and Andy MacDonald (4-1.)
All three were finalists in last year's competition in which skaters jump for points in style, creativity and amplitude.
The Moto X Step Up event is a closer race with Jeremy McGrath the favorite at 3-2, followed by Matt Buyten at 2-1. In this competition, five riders jump over horizontal bars at increasing heights until a winner is determined.
'The X Games have exploded in popularity over the past ten years to the point that these athletes are becoming household names,' says Alex Czajkowski, Marketing Director, Sportsbook.com. X Games XI take place in Los Angeles from August 4th to 7th. Introduced in 1995, the games now consist of women's and men's competitions in street events, which test agility, and vert events, to rate creativity.
