Online Casino Halted by State of Conneticut

The state of Connecticut has ordered the closure of an online gambling site owned by Penn National Gaming Inc. This news comes just one month after the Division of Special Revenue ordered Foxwood’s Resort Casino to remove a web promotion from the Internet as it was considered to be Internet gambling.

'In Connecticut you cannot use the Internet for online gambling. Period. Telephone gambling is OK,' says the executive director of the Special Revenue Division, Paul Young.

Consumers from Connecticut are unable to place bets using pari-mutuel waging on eBet USA, after the Division of Special Revenue placed a ban on doing so, whilst two years ago the Connecticut Lottery was prohibited from launching an Internet gambling game.
