WPT's Lipscomb to Headline Ground-Breaking Poker Conference

The need for an international conference focusing on the burgeoning interactive poker business has never been greater and River City Group is delivering one with the second stop in its new 'InDepth' series of topic-specific conferences.

The I-Gaming InDepth Poker conference is scheduled to take place December 8-9 in the Bahamas and it will feature a line up of top-notch speakers anchored by World Poker Tour founder and CEO Steven Lipscomb. Additional presenters include high-level executives from PartyGaming, Sportingbet, Bicycle Casino and other top-tier companies.

The program will cover a wide range of poker-related content, with lectures and panel discussions focusing on legal/regulatory issues, technology, marketing, mergers and acquisitions. Challenges to the industry, such as underage gambling and fraud will be discussed as well.

The goal of the program, says River City Group CEO Sue Schneider, is to equip professionals in the $2 billion interactive poker business with the knowledge they need to succeed.

'The interactive poker business is getting more competitive by the day,' Schneider said. 'The growth potential remains outstanding, but it has gotten to a point in which you'd better have an exceptional business plan and an understanding of the industry if you want to succeed. This is the idea behind River City Group's I-Gaming InDepth conferences. They're geared for companies and individuals looking for that edge.'
