Online Bookmaker Closes Wagers On New 007
If William Hill is to be believed it looks likely that it will shortly be announced that it is to be blonde, James Bond.
One of the most speculated-about roles in recent movie history has reportedly gone to Daniel Craig, an English actor best known for playing the poet Ted Hughes opposite Gwyneth Paltrow in Sylvia, Angelina Jolie's rival in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider and a cocaine dealer in the crime thriller Layer Cake.
William Hill closed wagers on Bond after bettors rushed to back Craig thanks in part to a report of him appearing in a screen test for the new movie.
Hill had taken bets on no less than 39 pretenders for the part, several “winners” have been named in recent months and media and Bond Web sites have been awash with gossip.
Now it seem almost certain that Craig will appear as James Bond in Casino Royale which starts filming in January 2006.
