Cantor Gaming Opens Las Vegas Office
Las Vegas, NV - November 17, 2005 - Cantor G&W (Nevada), L.P., an affiliate of Cantor Fitzgerald, L.P., a leading global financial services company, announced today that it has opened a new office in Las Vegas and has hired Ron Rushin and Eric Fried, two experienced gaming executives, to oversee technology and business development efforts. Cantor intends on providing gaming and wagering services in Nevada following regulatory approvals.
The opening of Cantor Gaming's office in Las Vegas and the hiring of Mr. Rushin and Mr. Fried is in anticipation of the Nevada Gaming Commission's issuance of the regulations implementing A.B. 471, the legislation authorizing mobile gaming on the premises of Nevada casinos, which was signed into law by Governor Kenny Guinn in June 2005. Cantor Gaming played a leading role in the passage of that legislation, which will enable Nevada resort casinos the opportunity to offer their customer's casino games such as slots, blackjack, poker, roulette and baccarat on mobile devices such as PDA's and tablet PCs.
Mr. Rushin joins Cantor Gaming as Chief Technology Officer and will be responsible for ensuring that Cantor satisfies all gaming regulations. Mr. Rushin will also oversee efforts to ensure that all of Cantor Gaming's products are able to easily integrate into customers' existing operations & infrastructures. Prior to joining Cantor, Mr. Rushin was Corporate Director of Enterprise Systems Operations for Mandalay Resort Group, Inc.
Mr. Fried joins Cantor Gaming as Vice President of Business Development and will be focused on sales, marketing and business development opportunities throughout Nevada. Prior to joining Cantor, Mr. Fried was employed with Wynn Resorts Limited where he focused on business development efforts for Wynn Las Vegas and Wynn Macau.
