UK Casino Information Withheld
The proposed super casino at Saltley, Birmingham has been granted a four-year gagging order by Birmingham City Council, blocking the release of any information regarding the plans.
A request by The Birmingham Post to publish details of the agreement between the council, Birmingham City Football Club and casino operator Las Vegas Sands was refused by lawyers.
The Freedom of Information Act request was refused and the all information regarding the Wheels Park site cannot be disclosed until 2009 at the earliest.
