Intertops.com Celebrates 10 Year Anniversary
Trailblazing online casino and sportsbook, Intertops.com will be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the first ever wager placed online January 17, 2006.
In 1996 as pioneers of online sportsbetting industry, Intertops.com took a bet from Finnish man, Jukka Honkavaara on an English football match between Tottenham and Hereford United – the wager was $50 for a return of $52. Although the profit was somewhat meagre, Jukka can lay claim not only the first-ever online bet but also the first-ever winning online bet.
Michl Posch, Head of Marketing at Intertops.com said of this landmark celebration, “2006 may be our tenth anniversary, but it is as well the 10th anniversary of the whole online betting industry. It is also the beginning of a truly exciting future for the company - and for the Online Gaming industry as a whole.”
Intertops.com in 2005 is still a force in the online gaming industry taking more than one thousand bets per day from sports fans like Jukka.
