Sports channel ESPN is to broadcast its eagerly anticipated Tournament of Champions tournament tomorrow (Tuesday 21st September), the outcome of which remains a closely guarded secret. Ten of the world’s greatest poker players were summoned together earlier this month, by invitation only, to the Rio Casino to play for a winner-takes-all $2,000,000 prize pool.

The godfather of Texas Hold’em Doyle Brunson was joined by three other World Series of Poker champions - Greg Raymer, Johnny Chan and Phil Hellmuth. Also present were T.J. Cloutier, Phil Ivey, Daniel Negreanu, Chip Reese, Howard Lederer and Annie Duke.

'That's what poker has come to,' mused Brunson, 71, before the tournament 'They put up $2 million and we don't have to put up a nickel.'

The name of the winner is strictly classified and each participant has been sworn to complete secrecy, although unconfirmed rumours have surfaced that Annie Duke took the title. Other rumours, also unconfirmed, suggest that the players decided to share the dough equally, regardless of the winner.
