FullTiltPoker.com, notorious for their branding and advertising campaigns, are to sponsor Winky Wright in his middleweight bout against Jermain Taylor for the undisputed middleweight title.
The fight, a highly anticipated event in the boxing calendar, will air live from the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee on Saturday 17 June at 9.30pm (ET 6:30pm).
As part of the sponsorship, Winky Wright and his team will sport Full Tilt Poker-branded gear at the press conference on 16 June and during the fight on 17 June. Winky Wright was also kitted out in Full Tilt gear at the televised weigh-in which took place on June 15.
This sponsorship deal represents FullTiltPoker.com and Team Full Tilt’s second foray into the boxing arena but is one of many branding initiatives already undertaken this year. Others have so far included he Sundance Film Festival Premiere Film and Music Lounge, the Stuff Magazine Kentucky Derby Party and Poker Tournament, and the House of Hype Gentlemen's Retreat in anticipation of the MTV Movie Awards.
