Gaming Company Unveils Hebrew version

LONDON, May 31 (UPI) -- Israeli Internet gaming company Gamebookers Tuesday unveiled a Hebrew-language version of its Web site, the company announced.

'After an overwhelming demand from our Israeli users for both the Sportsbook and Casino in their native language, the directors are pleased to announce that the company has enabled the Hebrew version ahead of the World Cup,' Gamebookers Chief Executive Officer John O'Malia said via a company statement.

'We have also just appointed a new country manager for this region, and look forward to rapid growth there. The translation also means that we now have the infrastructure in place for a much faster turnaround in any future right-to-left reading text translations,' O'Malia continued.

The new version means Gamebookers now has versions in 12 languages, though Hebrew is the company's first right-to-left reading language, the statement said.

The company recently translated its Web site into Swedish as well and accepts bets in 27 currencies, according to the company.

Gamebookers.com is an international betting group licensed in the United Kingdom, Austria and Antigua & Barbuda, the company said.

The company calls itself 'a one stop shop for bettors, covering a huge range of both fixed odds, live-betting, and (person-to-person) bets on every major sporting event combined with casino games and many unique content and entertainment features.'
