Claws Come Out in Celebrity Poker World
Acting is a notoriously catty profession; so given Ben Affleck’s recent triumph at the poker tournament it was only a matter of time before the venomous backbiting started. The New York Daily News has reported that Wilie Garson, who plays Sex in the City’s Stanford Blatch, has been the sharpening his claws.
'Ben is so [bleep]ing insecure that he is trying so hard at poker to make up for his dwindling acting career,” he spat. “It is just sad he has been training for four months with champion poker player Annie Duke for this tournament because he wants to be liked for something.'
Affleck won 356,400 dollars to take the title of Californian Poker Champion at Commerce Casino's California State Poker Championship recently. He promptly lost his winnings a week later at another poker table. Affleck and Garson have faced each other at celebrity poker showdowns in the past.
