Poker Fantasies Become Reality
Poker is the new American pastime and its popularity in the press, on television and in the homes of millions is at an all time high. With the likes of celebrities such as Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Jack Black all in on the game, it’s no wonder why the rest of the country wants in on the action.
But what does a player do to get in on the action when their poker face isn’t up to tournament standards? Before today they watched the game on TV cheering on their favorite poker stars – but today they can put their chips on the table. The newest offspring of the poker craze is Fantasy Poker, a poker enthusiast’s variation on the ever-so popular fantasy sports leagues.
Bluff Magazine’s Fantasy Poker Challenge (www.fantasypokerchallenge.com) is the first and only online fantasy poker league. The Fantasy Poker Challenge is free to play, and gives players a chance to win one of ten prizes based on their performance.
This month, the Fantasy Poker Challenge is giving away a trip for two to the Bahamas as its Grand Prize. The prize includes airfare and hotel accommodation- all organized through Casino Tours.
To play Bluff Magazine’s Fantasy Poker Challenge go to www.fantasypokerchallenge.com and register. Each registrant must then purchase at least 4 players for his team given the fantasy money provided. After that day’s tournament is completed players may modify teams. Ultimately the aggregated points won by the player’s team are converted into points in the Fantasy Poker Challenge. The top ten Fantasy Poker Challenge winners will be awarded a prize.
