Prolific Gambler Clears His Name

A prolific gambler who was forced to turn to online poker as a means of support, after being banned from his beloved roulette wheel, has been vindicated by a court in Spain. The judge ruled that there was nothing illegal in Gonzalo García-Pelayo’s system, which netted him more than €1m in the early nineties and that casinos would have to open their doors to him once more.

Mr García-Pelayo has spent the last ten years trying to clear his name and has written a book about his adventures and betting system which uses sophisticated computer modelling techniques to work out which numbers offer the best chance of winning.

He says he has no plans to return to Madrid's roulette tables as he’s too well known. Instead he plans to sue the casino for €1.2m in lost earnings.
