A poker and casino site aimed specifically at the UK market looks to be in the pipeline after Las Vegas Sands announced that an agreement has been reached between one of its affiliates and Cantor Gaming.
Cantor Gaming will provide a complete online casino and poker destination featuring Las Vegas Sands brands, including The Venetian, Sands, Palazzo, and Paiza brands. Poker players will be pleased to know that video and online poker will be included, as well the likes of blackjack, roulette and baccarat.
UK players will have to hold on that bit longer, however, as the planned release date for the site isn’t until the second quarter of 2007.
'This is another opportunity for our company to create greater awareness of our global brands and further establish our presence and interest in the UK market,' said Bill Weidner, president and chief operating officer of Las Vegas Sands. 'Additionally, as the internet gaming landscape continues to evolve this effort will put us in a strong position to evaluate and react to other potential opportunities.'
