EPT Cancels Deauville Leg

The European Poker Tour (EPT) Deauville tourney which was originally scheduled for late February has been cancelled and no reason has yet been released.

An official announcement from EPT read: 'European Poker Tour regrets to announce the cancellation of the 2007 EPT French Open due to take place at Casino Barriere de Deauville between 20 and 24 February, 2007. A full statement will follow.'

European poker players need not panic as the EPT has recently announced details of a new tournament to be held during Season 3. The event will take place in Poland and will be capped at 300 players with a buy-in of 15,000 Zlotys (approximately €4,000).

The no-limit Texas Hold’em tourney will be held at Warsaw’s Hyatt Regency Hotel between March14 and 17.

The next EPT is at the Casino Copenhagen in Denmark from January 17 to 20
