Sportsbook.com Matches Customer Donations for Tsunami Relief
January 7, 2004 (London, UK) Sportsbook.com, the world's largest sportsbook and casino, is encouraging its customers to get involved in the Asian tsunami relief efforts by matching all donations 100 per cent.
'A tragedy as vast and visible as the South Asia Tsunami touches everyone around the world,' says Alex Czajkowski, Marketing Director, Sportsbook.com.
'We want to offer our U.S. customers a chance to support those ravaged by this disaster. Sportsbook.com will then match their generosity dollar-for-dollar.'
Sportsbook.com has partnered with Northwest Medical Teams International, a non profit humanitarian aid organization working to reduce suffering around the world and in the Pacific Northwest.
'We chose to partner with Northwest Medical because 98 per cent of the donations received go directly to their humanitarian programs and every $1 donated equals $85 in life-saving supplies,' said Czajkowski. 'In addition, all of Northwest Medical supplies are donated by major U.S. medical and pharmaceutical companies.'
To donate, Sportsbook.com customers can simply log on to the site with their customer ID number and enter in a donation amount. Individuals not currently enrolled with Sportsbook.com can also participate by registering through the site and receiving an ID number.
