Viennese whirl in court
An Austrian man is suing a casino after claiming that he was let in following a ban after he confessed to a gambling addiction.
The Viennese court must decide whether Huseyn Koysuren was responsible for his own actions when he was allowed to enter a mecca by means of bribery.
The Viennese businessman alleges that casino workers granted him access after he offered them a total of £80,000 and is now suing for damages after he lost £670,000 on the tables. . "I could not get a grip on my addiction, and by paying bribes of up to £2,000 to the entrance staff, I could get into the casino unhindered," pleaded Koysuren.
However, casino managers say that all employees are forbidden from carrying cash, so would not have been able to stash the cash without being noticed.
"Every handshake can be examined. No colleague would be so stupid as to hide money," a casino spokesman said.
He added that the casino is covered by CCTV.
