Harrah’s May Look to the Lucrative UK Market
The established UK newspaper The Observer has reported that American casino group Harrah’s, which is famed particularly for its involvement in poker, has some ambitious online and brick-and-mortar plans for the UK.
The ex-mayor of Las Vegas and now Harrah’s executive Jan Jones reportedly commented that Harrah’s could open a dedicated European website shortly.
The group, as the owner of the World Series of Poker brand, is apparently also toying with the idea of bringing land poker to the UK, along with its online satellite action.
The announcement came ahead of this week’s ‘Super-casino’ decision in the UK.
The news follows a decision by another Vegas land giant, Vegas Sands, who have already engaged the white label supplier Cantor Gaming to launch a European targeted online casino soon.
