First two seats secured at Industry Tournament final table
The race to find the gaming and gambling industry’s best poker player is hotting up with the first two qualifiers for IPT’06 securing their seats in a hotly contested online battle.
Eliza Burnett from Poker Europa just edged out Simon Banoub of PA Sports as it went down to the wire with players from SportingBet also running them close! Eliza eventually snatched it with some fine play. Both go through to the final table to take place at Bullet Business Europe in London on December 6th (www.bulletbusiness.com).
Record breaking numbers signed up to play…
The online qualifier - facilitated by Absolute Poker and sponsored by iGaming Business and Pentasia - was a resounding success with some of the biggest names in the industry going head to head with rival companies and office colleagues.

With two seats now secured, just four remain and the next online qualifiers take place this week on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd at 20:00 (GMT) with two seats to be won in each qualifier. Players wishing to sign up should visit www.bulletbusiness.com/IPT to register. The tournament is for industry employees only and not open to pro’s.
With over 400 players registered so far for the online qualifiers it looks set to be a block busting session at the tables.
