Sportsbook.com Posts Casino Royale Odds
Casino Royale will have 007 fans lining up at theatres this weekend and Sportsbook.com has posted odds on the opening weekend gross of the British secret agent's first mission.
Sportsbook.com has set over/under odds on the film generating $38.5 million in its first weekend, with the over/under line set at -120.
The film is the 21st in the James Bond series but follows Bond on the events of his first '00' mission. Secret Service Intelligence reveals that a banker to the world's terrorists is planning to raise money in a high-stakes poker game at Casino Royale. M16 assigns Bond to beat the financier and bring down the terrorist network. In classic form, the 007 agent also encounters his fair share of martinis, action, and beautiful women throughout the film.
Casino Royale, originally published in 1953, features Daniel Craig as the sixth man to don the 007 tuxedo. The choice of a 'blonde Bond' originally had fans of the franchise aghast at the decision, but early indications suggest that Craig could become a popular choice for the role.
