Gaming Club Sponsorship of World Poker Championship
The Gaming Club has sealed a two-year sponsorship deal with the World Poker Championship worth over one million Euros. The deal is the biggest of its kind ever in Europe and will further help to cement the relationship between the online and offline games.
The ‘Gaming Club World Poker Championship‘ is due to in Dublin on 23rd June and will be televised by Sky Sports. It will have the biggest ever first prize in land-based Pot Limit Hold’em at €250,000.
Tim Johnson, CEO and Chairman of Carmen Media, which owns the internet casino, said: “Our customers are playing more and more poker online, and so sponsorship of the World Poker Championship by the Gaming Club gives us the opportunity to offer them something really special. The prizes and the competition will be world beating, and those who can’t make it to Dublin – either as players of spectators – will be able to share in the excitement by watching it on the Sky Sports television coverage.”
