PokerPro Performs Well at Aspers

American software development and engineering company PokerTek Inc has announced that the world’s first electronic poker table, PokerPro, has been a success following a promotion at the Aspers At The Gate casino in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

The PokerPro campaign in the northern English city’s casino saw a raft of activities including student nights, a poker and a pint offer and Ladies Champagne Poker and Poker Boot Camp events. These promotions culminated in an evening with Jimmy White where nine finalists whittled down during the month-long marketing drive got the chance to pit their wits against the snooker legend on a PokerPro table.

“Our PokerPro promotion has delivered some really positive results,” said June Moore, Aspers’ Head of Marketing.

“The unique nature of the product has generated a lot of interest and we’ve worked hard to target the promotions to connect with different audiences. PokerPro is more than just a strong product, it provides an opportunity to engage with existing and potential customers, which is very valuable.

“Jimmy White was really impressed by the table and his involvement created some great talking points with customers and through our regional media.”

Ruislip-based Aristocrat Technologies Europe is adding PokerPro to its already impressive range of products and will serve as exclusive distributor throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East for the table.

Tim Klok of Aristocrat Technologies Europe, explained, “PokerPro represents such a strong consumer proposition and I have to say that the team at Aspers really maximised its marketability. Aspers have shown exactly what can be achieved with a product that connects with such a broad customer-base.”
