Online Casino Reps Go West in UIGEA Bid
Online casino site Casino Gambling Web has betted on the power of the people with a plan to send representatives to Washington DC in July, to put forward their case against the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) to congressmen and senators.
The site representatives are hoping to drum up support for the decommissioning of the UIGEA, the now infamous act that was passed in October 2006 prohibiting the transfer of funds from a financial institution to an Internet gambling site.
In a statement, Gordon Price, owner of Casino Gambling Web, said: 'We urge all Americans interested in regaining personal freedom in the United States to contact their Senators and Congressmen today and tomorrow and again next week and let their voices be heard. We encourage all those interested to encourage others to do the same. It is Casino Gambling Web's true belief that we can make a difference if we all come together on this issue.'
