NETeller Hearing Postponed Until June

The case against the founders of the high profile e-wallet NETeller by the US Department of Justice has been postponed for a further two weeks from its latest date of May 16.

Stephen Lawrence and John Lefebvre face a litany of charges related to online gambling including allegations of racketeering and money laundering. The hearing is now into its fifth continuance is set to take place in the first week in June.

Lawrence and Lefebvre, both former directors of the Isle of Man-based payment processor popular with players in the online casino industry, were arrested on January 15 and both held on $5 million bonds.

The pair were later released, but are restricted to staying in US shores until the case against them has been settled.

Since the time of the arrest, NETeller representatives and the US Department of Justice have asserted that 'around $55 million' owed to US customers has been held as evidence in the case.
