Former WSOP Director Leaves Harrah’s
Robert Daily, the former director of the World Series of Poker (WSOP), has accepted a position as a board member at DG Holdings, an international investment group with a leading gaming division.
DGH, which has offices in Europe, Asia Pacific and South East Asia, has a successful gaming sector that was set up over four years ago to develop a high-end gaming platform that facilitates a fully-integrated, online gaming service.
Daily spent 11 years with Harrah’s Entertainment, the prominent casino group behind products such as the WSOP, and took up a variety of roles including acting as the 2005 WSOP Event Manager and the 2006 WSOP Tournament Director.
He also received a coveted 2007 Chairman Award for his contribution to the company. ‘I have greatly enjoyed my years with Harrahs, and especially the World Series of Poker. I have every confidence this year’s WSOP will run smoothly and efficiently and if I did not feel strongly that the tournament was ready, I would not have left at this time,’ explained Daily.
