Online Gaming Group Ranks Highly
Rank Group, a group with a gambling portfolio including Mecca bingo clubs, casinos, as well as online gaming and bookmaking services, has announced a promising start for 2007 with like-for-like revenue up by 3 percent for the first 16 weeks of the year.
The company has clawed back from a 17 percent fall in its revenue from Mecca Bingo clubs in the first 12 months following the smoking ban in Scotland to reach a 1 percent growth in revenue for its clubs in England and Wales for the period above.
The Top Rank Espana Spanish bingo business delivered a small increase in revenues while its Blue Square interactive gaming and betting business saw a 40 percent growth in revenues during the period.
The group’s Grosvenor Casinos also saw a growth in revenue of 3 percent.
