New US Congress May be Democratic to Online Casinos

Top5GameSites.com, a leader in online casino reviews, has announced that the United States House of Congress has recently welcomed a number several casino-friendly Democrats to its ranks.

The move will not doubt be welcomed by American online gambling companies after the introduction of the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA), prohibiting financial institutions from processing transactions for American Internet gambling companies, which was passed in late 2006.

Experts have been speculating that the new Congress may attempt to pass laws giving States the power to come to their own decisions regarding the funding of online casino gambling, this would be in line with the system for online horse race betting.

'I think states will make it a state's rights issue,' said Internet gambling expert Nelson Rose, a professor at California's Whittier Law School.
