Britain’s top selling tabloid newspaper, The Sun, has reported that a player who won over £250,000 playing online poker with Ladbrokes is having to stay silent as he is about to get divorced.
The unknown player, a salesman from Sussex, claims to have started with an initial wager of £20 on horseracing before switching to £50 stake poker following a series of wins. According to The Sun, the mystery winner was dealt a royal running flush, ace high in hearts, which is the highest hand that you can get in the game.
The top hand is thought to have earned its recipient over £260,000 as the rolling jackpots accumulate more money the longer that they are unclaimed.
