Championship not going for Gold
Last year's World Series Of Poker (WSOP) champion Jamie Gold will not be able to defend his title after he busted out of 2007's Main Event in the wee hours of Tuesday morning. Despite this, and probably to his embarrassment, his dear mother, Jane remained in the competition beyond her famous son. Another shock exit to see was poker ace Phil Hellmuth, the all-time record-holder for the number of WSOP bracelets won. He arrived two hours late for the Main Event, but needn't really have bothered turning up as he busted out four hours later, even failing to cash in. Other big names that have not gone the distance so far include Robert Williamson III and Chip Reese. Actor and poker fan Hank Azaria, who is probably best known for providing the voices for Moe, Apu and Chief Police Wiggum in The Simpsons, is also out of the running.
