Microgaming Adds Canbet to Poker Roster
The Microgaming Poker Network has announced the addition of another new poker room with veteran online gambling site Canbet.com switching to the network.
Canbet.com’s parent company, International All Sports (IAS), said that the move would take effect immediately. IAS was founded in 1996 and was Australia’s first licensed bookmaker. It is also one of the most recognisable names in Internet betting, offering 24-hour access to betting on international horse racing, harness and greyhound racing, world sport and entertainment events.
IAS extended its international racing and sports coverage to the UK following its merger with Canbet in January 2005. This union also provided the company with the opportunity to extend its product range into an online casino and poker room.
Canbet.com said that it would use Microgaming’s multi-language capability to continue targeting primarily European players. It stated that customers at its poker room would now have access to one of the most aggressive tournament schedules on the Internet and the opportunity to win satellites to the world’s best land-based tournaments.
“The addition of Microgaming Poker Network to our range of industry-leading betting services, including our revolutionary new live soccer betting product, is a sign of our commitment to continue to provide players with the best in online wagering and gaming,” said Mark Read, Founder of IAS.
