Playline Launches BetOnBattles.com
VANCOUVER, BC, August 20, 2007 --- ESI Entertainment Systems Inc. (TSX:ESY) announced today that PlayLine Technologies Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of ESI, has launched BetonBattles.com, a revolutionary Internet skill gaming site.
BetonBattles.com is an Internet skill gaming site, where elements of chance have been removed, that is targeted to the 18 to 30 year old market segment. PlayLine’s approach is to merge the current skill gaming legal framework with high quality and visually stimulating skill games, along with the ability to win significant cash prizes.
BetonBattles.com is launching with CasinoBoB, a multiplayer first person shooter game modeled on a virtual casino environment where players compete head-to-head using an array of weapons including toothpick guns, olive launchers, dice bombs, and poker chip shooters. BetonBattles has implemented measures to comply with legal skill gaming requirements, including blocking players from 14 US states where state gambling laws prohibit skill gaming, providing fixed payout prizes that are pre-published and are not determined by the number of players, providing an equal strength environment where players have time to make strategic decisions, and where winning is based on qualities such as precision, certainty, cleverness, expertness, and skills that include hand-eye coordination, thinking and reacting quickly, and predicting opponent strategy.
In conjunction with the launch of BetonBattles, PlayLine is announcing the World Series of Battles. Each month the top five leaders from the BetonBattles Leader Board will be flown to Las Vegas where they will compete in head-to-head WSOB Qualifying Tournaments. Twelve qualifiers will then compete at the WSOB Championship Tournament where the top player will be awarded a $100,000 prize.
BetonBattles.com is being marketed via affiliate marketing programs, on-line media buys, search engine optimizations and key word purchases, university ad campaigns, and co-marketing to Citadel’s database of 1 million consumers.
