A new casino in Swansea is celebrating its opening with a £75,000 party, which will see a performance by X Factor singer Ray Quinn.
The new Aspers Casino, which cost £13 million to build is opening with a Rat Pack theme, which will see Quinn singing Frank Sinatra classics including My Way and That's Life.
Jazz singer Jennie Sawdon and award-winning DJ Rusty Egan will also be displaying their talents and a host of Welsh celebrities, including football and rugby internationals as well as politicians, have also been invited.
Guests will walk down a ten metre red carpet lined with four 7ft gas flame flambeaux to enter the casino while high-powered spotlights will light the way down Wind Street.
Richard Noble, general manager at Aspers, said: "We have spent £13 million creating a venue quite unlike anything in Wales and it is only fitting that we mark the opening in the requisite style." The new casino has room for 1,600 gamblers including 120 diners at its restaurant. It has three bars, an iPod lounge, a beauty parlour, 28 multimedia screens and a stage for live entertainment, as well of course as hi-tech gaming facilities.
