Online Casino in Life-Changing Domain Switch
Leading online casino, sportsbook and poker room Bodog.com has announced a change in its domain name following judgements from courts in two American states.
The Antigua-run gambling site can now be found at BodogLife.com after it was forced to close its previous domain earlier this month following an uncontested judgement reached by courts in Nevada and later Washington. These cases alleging patent infringement were brought by 1st Technology LLC against Bodog Entertainment Group.
'Recently, there have been changes at Bodog concerning the company's domain name,' read a press statement from Bodog. 'Bodog temporarily used 'NewBodog.com' after their root domain was hijacked in a frivolous patent dispute. In an effort to move to a more accurately-named home, the company is pleased to announce BodogLife.com.'
The statement from the company goes on to read that, although the domain dispute caused some drama throughout the company, ‘a talented staff of over 1,000 people rallied together and maintained the billion dollar business on a strong growth curve during one of the busiest seasons’.
'Hey, the world changes and if you don't change with it you get left behind,” said Calvin Ayre, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bodog Entertainment Group.
“That said, although the Bodog address is changing, the bottom line is, at Bodog, it's business as usual. Same great site, just a new web address.'
