Six Australian poker buffs are set to readdress poker as a game of chance by taking part in a spot of Texas Hold’em while dangling 90 metres above the Pacific Ocean.
The daring group will test out their full range of card skills, while simultaneously defying the laws of gravity, as part of an Extreme poker tournament off the cliffs of North Head on October 4th 2007.
The last man standing will be jetted off to the Caribbean Island of St Kitts for the Extreme Poker Underwater finals in December courtesy of Extreme Poker, with the losers taking a voluntary dip in the sea below.
“Sydney will prove the most challenging poker game ever with endurance, ability and nerves all being put to the test,” said Peter Marcus, the brains behind Extreme Poker.
Extreme Poker tournaments have been played worldwide with locations ranging from the Arctic Circle to flying 30,000 feet above the Las Vegas desert.
All six seats for the Australian tournament still need to be filled and details can be found by visiting www.extremepoker.com.
