The schedule for the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) has been announced, with a special head's up competition added to the competition at the Grosvenor Victoria casino in London.
Starting on November 24th and concluding on December 2nd, the action will culminate in a £3,000 buy-in No Limit Texas Hold'em Grand Final Main Event. As many as 400 poker fans will take part for a chance to dip into the prize pool, which will exceed £1 million, with the winner taking away around £400,000.
Throughout the festival, prizes will be awarded to the chip leader at the end of each day and the player who busts out on the bubble. The final table will be shown on Channel 4 later this year.
To start the nine-day poker fest, the first ever GUKPT Heads-Up Championship will take place, with a £1,500 buy-in for an exclusive set of 64 players.
Blue Square Poker, which sponsors the poker tour, is adding £10,000 to the prize pool and the champion will also win a free seat in the Main Event.
The GUKPT is expected to attract poker pros such as Dave Colclough and Barney Boatman, who have previously played in the tour.
