Online Casino Anniversary Marked by Global Charity Day
Online casino 888.com has announced that it will run its first global charity day next Wednesday in which casino, poker and bingo players can donate to two charity organisations.
As part of 888.com's tenth birthday celebrations and its continuing focus on responsible gaming activities, the gaming giant has pledged to contribute $100,000 to charity and to allow players to join the donation by contributing a percentage of their playing money. The Gibraltar-licensed site said that its employees would also be participating in special activities to raise awareness of its charity partners.
Players can choose to donate to either the Earth Action or World For World charities, which are dedicated to environmental conservation and human rights, or can choose to split their donation between the two.
'This is the first time we have run a global charity day and we're delighted we can raise money for such important causes,” said Matt Robinson, Marketing Director for 888.com.
“It's a great opportunity for all of our players to work with us in contributing to important global issues simply by playing and enjoying our games.'
To contribute, players only have to play their favourite games on October 10 at 888.com's poker room, Pacific Poker, or they can also make a direct contribution by going to the charities’ websites.
